Juventus are trying to set the stage for some Bosman signings on top of searching for cheap reinforcements in January, and have reignited their interest in Marcos Senesi, who’s been on their radar for a few years, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs.

The contract of the Argentinian defender will run out in June. He’s being tracked by other Premier League sides and some Spanish clubs. He headed to the Cherries for €15M in 2022 after blossoming at Feyenoord. He has totaled 110 appearances since and has 2 caps with La Seleccion.

While Juventus are eyeing Senesi for the future, they have zeroed in on Guido Rodriguez and Federico Chiesa for the ongoing window. The midfielder would sign off on the move. It won’t be hard to strike a deal with West Ham, either on an initial loan or for a meager bid. However, the Bianconeri officials and Luciano Spalletti haven’t yet decided whether he’s the right man for the job.

As for the winger, he’s keen on returning to Turin but won’t ruin his relationship with Liverpool to make it happen. However, the Reds don’t want to send him out temporarily for now and need to make sure that Mohamed Salah stays put in January first.

Our Take on Juventus and Senesi

If Gleison Bremer holds up and the switch to a four-man line is permanent, they only need a touch-up in the back, and a reliable veteran would suffice. As for the midfield, it’s too expensive for them to find somebody who could really push Manuel Locatelli now. If they had to pay just the small fee Liverpool previously shelled out for Chiesa, it’d be a no-brainer.
