Moise Kean credits his Fiorentina teammates for his incredible form this season and hopes to add more goals in the Conference League semi-final with Real Betis. ‘It gives you something extra.’

It kicks off at the Stadio Artemio Franchi at 20.00 UK time (19.00 GMT, 21.00 CET).

The Viola lost the first leg 2-1 in Seville, so they need a victory by one clear goal to force extra time, with a wider cushion if they are to reach their third consecutive Conference League Final.

Kean back to lead Fiorentina

“It will be a special game, it’s very emotional, especially in our stadium. These are the matches you love to play,” Kean told Sky Sport Italia.

The striker had only come off the bench in the first leg, as he was out for over a week tending to a family matter in Paris, but he is back in the starting XI this evening.

Kean really has become a totally different player at Fiorentina this season, scoring 23 goals in 41 competitive games between Serie A, the Conference League and Coppa Italia.

A new Kean inspires Fiorentina

“Betis are a strong team, but I know we can do really well this evening. Being in front of our fans gives us something extra and we hope to do our best. Thanks to my teammates, I feel confident, I know everyone is behind me, and that really helps,” he continued.

The well wishes poured in during this difficult personal time not only from Fiorentina, but all around Italian football.

“It was really nice, I am training well, I feel happy every day in what I do, and that gives you something extra. In these games, we’ve got to give our very best.”
