Juventus and Milan were among the Serie A clubs showing support for Moise Kean after the Italian striker was racially abused on social media, while Napoli defender Juan Jesus commented sarcastically: ‘Let’s see how it ends this time.’
Fiorentina and Italy striker Kean published online racist abuse received in the aftermath of the Tuscans’ 2-1 defeat against Inter on Monday.
The Viola striker posted screenshots of insulting messages, including pictures and names of the racist users.
Fiorentina announced they would take action and report to local authorities those targeting Kean with racist messages.
Inter, Juventus, Milan, and Lazio all expressed support for the Italian striker on social media by commenting on Fiorentina’s X post.
“Never again. Juventus against racism,” the Bianconeri said.
Lazio wrote: “SS Lazio are against any form of discrimination,” while Milan used a hashtag: “#WeRespAct.”
Napoli defender Juan Jesus published an Instagram story showing him playing against Kean on the pitch.
The Napoli centre-back wrote: “I am with you, brother; let’s see how it ends this time.”
Juan Jesus’ message was a clear reference to last season’s incident when he accused Inter’s Francesco Acerbi of using a racist slur.
The Italian defender was cleared after an investigation with the Serie A sporting judge ruling that there was insufficient evidence to convict him of the offence.
