Kevin De Bruyne joined Manchester City from Wolfsburg 10 years ago after great seasons in the Bundesliga. With Guardiola, De Bruyne became one of the most impactful players in the world, even leading Belgium to the World Cup semi-final, but it’s last title race with the team ended with the 1-0 lost to Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final.
Manchester City couldn’t keep up with Liverpool at the top of the Premier League, and for that, the possible 7th title in Guardiola's era was postponed to the next season, but De Bruyne won’t be there. The midfielder is set to leave the club at the end of the season and won't play in the FIFA Club World Cup next month.
His destination was not revealed yet, as De Bruyne expressed his wish to make the decision after the season ends. On the other hand, rumors point out that De Bruyne may join the MLS or Saudi Pro League.
In one of the last games at Manchester City, playing the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace, KDB left the field without lifting the trophy as City lost in the FA Cup final.
Like it has been for years, Manchester City has the majority of ball possession, and The Eagles were comfortable playing without the ball – until they weren’t. The pressure to score became higher after 15 minutes of wasted chances from City, and Palace was ready to counter-attack. In the first chance they got, the striker Jean-Philippe Mateta dominated the ball, creating the space the team needed to score, and they did.
Mateta found Daichi Kamada, who passed the ball straight to the right back Daniel Muñoz as he was sprinting down the field. At the same time, Eberechi Eze started to track the ball from the left-wing and ran to the middle of the area to score the first goal – just like he did in the semifinal versus Aston Villa.
Eberechi Eze has scored in four of the five FA Cup games he's played in this season.

City's tactics didn’t change with the goal scored, but the more chances they created, the more the Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson denied. They had the best chance in a penalty against Bernardo Silva, and Erling Haaland let Omar Marmoush shoot, but once again Henderson denied and made Wembley vibrate so hard that the cameras couldn’t stay put.
