Leeds United CEO Angus Kinnear has outlined his feelings over Jack Harrison choosing to leave the club.

Many at Leeds were surprised when the winger chose to depart the Championship club.

Harrison wanted to play in the Premier League, even though he has joined an Everton side in relegation danger.

He has yet to make an appearance for the Toffees, as he is still out injured.

"From my perspective going on loan to Everton with the predicament Everton are in, versus staying at Leeds and getting them promoted, there is a valid choice to make there, and we were surprised," Kinnear told the Square Ball Podcast.

At the time, to secure Jack Harrison on a new contract with a wage reduction if we went down, those were the types of things that were in place."
