Kylian Mbappe scored a hat-trick for Paris Saint-Germain inside the first 48 minutes of Sunday's clash with sixth-tier US Revel in the Coupe de France.
Mbappe opened the scoring on Sunday in the 16th minute with a low left-footed finish from 16 yards.
A Maxence N'Guessan own goal doubled PSG's lead before Marco Asensio made it 3-0.
Mbappe then struck again to put PSG 4-0 up on the stroke of half-time.
His second goal came from a headed finish but it was all about the build-up.
Carlos Soler scooped a pass over multiple defenders to Asensio, who back-heeled a volley over his head into the path of Mbappe and the France captain stooped to head home from 10 yards.
Asensio also provided the assist for Mbappe's hat-trick goal, which was a tap-in that arrived 148 seconds after half-time.
PSG's sixth goal of the night came from a 71st-minute penalty kick converted by Goncalo Ramos.
Substitute Randal Kolo Muani made it 7-0 five minutes later with a simple finish from close range after being set-up by a clever dummy from Mbappe.
Goal no.8 was scored by 19-year-old Cher Ndour.

How Many Hat-Tricks Has Kylian Mbappe Scored In His Career?
Sunday's hat-trick was the 17th of Mbappe's senior career.
Thirteen of those hat-tricks have been recorded while Mbappe was playing for PSG.
Only once has Mbappe scored a hat-trick and not ended the game on the winning side. That famously occurred in the 2022 FIFA World Cup final when Argentina beat France in a penalty shootout following an epic 3-3 draw after extra time.

Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr. is involved in some tense contract talks with the club, which has seen both sides unable to agree on a deal. On the field, there has been plenty of criticism for the Brazilian after last season's below-par performances. However, entering the game against PSG in the semi-final, The Athletic reported that the Spanish head coach was thinking about a change of tactic, which would mean Vini Jr. would start on the bench. Xabi Alonso Planned to Bench Vinicius Jr. Against PSG The report from Mario Cortegana of The Athletic suggested that due to Vinicius' poor performances at the Club World Cup, the Brazilian was on the brink of being benched for the semi-final against PSG. However, an injury to Trent Alexander-Arnold meant a change of tactics with Vini Jr. starting the game. The 25-year-old started on the right, with in-form Gonzalo Garcia and Kylian Mbappe starting up top. This was said to have been a frustrating decision for Vinicius, who has played his best from the left. It shows that Xabi Alonso is not afraid to make tough decisions that may upset some of the senior players in the squad. Sources close to Alonso at Valdebebas have suggested that Vinicius will need to play much better than previously, and could face dropping to the bench if improvement is not seen. Alonso wants his team to press high from the back to the front of the starting XI, and that starts from the forward players. Not just Vinicius, but Mbappe are expected to work hard, something that Garcia has done very well since he arrived in the first team. This looks to be a massive season for the star Brazilian, on and off the field, for Real Madrid. If a performance and a new contract are not agreed upon, Vinicius Jr. could be sold in 2026.

20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer will return to the tennis court to play one more match at this year’s Shanghai Masters. Federer, who celebrated his 44th birthday on Friday, played his final match on the professional scene in September 2022 at the Laver Cup. It was an emotionally intoxicating doubles match in which Federer reunited with his great rival, Rafael Nadal. Shanghai, let’s meet.” Why Shanghai? Shanghai is the penultimate Masters 1000 on the calendar and has previously been voted as the best ATP tournament of the year by players. The tournament represents some of the world’s best brands, including Rolex, which is its title sponsor. The Swiss watchmaker company is one of Federer’s most valuable sponsors. Federer has endorsed Rolex since 2001, and that partnership continues to grow stronger post-retirement. Federer has visited Shanghai in each of the last two years and has toured the Qizhong Forest Sports City Arena, which serves as the main court in the tournament. In 2023, he was presented with the Icon Athlete Award by the tournament in honor of his illustrious career in front of a packed stadium. And last year, Federer watched on from the stands as Jannik Sinner defeated one of his former rivals, Novak Djokovic, in the final.
Las Vegas Raiders finally find a solution to a problem that has emerged since the beginning of training camp
When training camp started for the Las Vegas Raiders, they had a ton of depth all around the roster. But, after one week, they did a scrimmage, and that depth instantly went down. During the scrimmage, backup safety Lonnie Johnson Jr. got hurt and suffered an injury that is bound to keep him out for a while. Now, he will be back at some point, because, as head coach Pete Carroll said, the Raiders want and need him. So, they finally made a move in replacing him. The Raiders signed a guy who can give them some experience in a pretty young position group. Raiders sign safety Terrell Edmunds Terrell Edmunds played college football at Virginia Tech from 2015 to 2017, leading to his selection by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Edmunds spent five seasons with the Steelers from 2018–2022, playing 79 games, starting 75, and racking up 410 tackles, 5 sacks, five interceptions, and 26 passes defended. His best year was 2019 with 105 tackles. After the Steelers declined his fifth-year option, he re-signed for 2022 but moved on in 2023, playing for the Philadelphia Eagles and Tennessee Titans. In 2024, he briefly joined the Jacksonville Jaguars. Now, he’s been jumping from practice squad to practice squad, but is looking to be a depth piece on the Raiders. Edmunds adds a veteran pretense to a room that has Chris Smith and Trey Taylor, two young guys who have never really played a full-time role in the defensive backfield. If Isaiah Pola-Mao and Jeremy Chinn went down, those two would be next in line, with little to no experience. So, the Raiders quickly got on the phone with Lonnie Johnson Jr. went down, but are finally making a change to the roster, bringing depth and experience. This is a very solid signing for the new regime.
Cowboys' Micah Parsons gives Giants' rookie pass-rusher the ultimate compliment
Abdul Carter showed flashes of dominance in his preseason debut with the New York Giants on Saturday, and fellow pass-rusher Micah Parsons believes fans are going to see a lot more of that for years to come. Carter was disruptive on several plays at the line of scrimmage during the Giants' 34-25 win over the Buffalo Bills. He showed tremendous burst and appeared to get into the backfield with ease, and that was against Buffalo's first-team offense. On Sunday, Parsons shared a video on social media that showed Carter giving the Bills fits. Parsons also paid the rookie a massive compliment. "They asked me if Abdul could be a (sic) another great ! I told them he could be the best one!" Parsons wrote on X. Carter responded by telling Parsons he can't wait to see the four-time Pro Bowl linebacker "get paid what you EARNED!!" Parsons and Carter are both Penn State alumni. They each wore the No. 11, which is a famous jersey number for the Nittany Lions and has been worn by some of the best players in program history. Parsons, of course, has already established himself as one of the best defensive players in football. He is currently in a contract standoff with the Dallas Cowboys. Carter was the No. 3 overall pick in the draft. If he lives up to expectations, he should be just as productive as Parsons in relatively short order.
