Even though Kylian Mbappe leaving PSG isn’t the greatest news for the Parisiens, he does so holding his head high. The French striker has scored an unbelievable 256 goals for the club and to top things off, took home the award for Best Player of the season in Ligue 1.
Despite crashing out of the Champions League in embarrassing fashion, Mbappe’s domestic exploits were undoubtedly one of the best this season. With 27 goals and 7 assists, the 25-year-old is the leading goal scorer in the League.
His goal scoring prowess is so good that Jonathan David who’s in second place has racked up 8 goals less! The Parisiens are currently on 70 points from 32 games and have already won Ligue 1 with games to spare.
PSG’s final home game of the season however, ended in a 3-1 defeat to Toulouse. Mbappe took a moment after the game to offer gratitude to the fans and players of the club.
I thank everyone at the club and the President. I will miss it. I'm leaving with my head held high. Kylian Mbappe said in an interview
