Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri has a strong record against Inter coach Simone Inzaghi and he’ll be hoping to improve upon that next weekend.

As noted by stats portal Transfermarkt, the 62-year-old Italian coach has faced his Nerazzurri counterpart seven times in the past, winning four of those games, drawing one and losing the other two.

Their first meeting came in the 2016/17 season, when Sarri’s Napoli drew 1-1 with Inzaghi’s Lazio. Goals in that game came from Marek Hamsik and Keita Balde.

Sarri then won the next three matches against Inzaghi’s Biancocelesti, with his Napoli side coming out on top 3-0, 4-1 and then 4-1 again.

Inzaghi finally secured his first win over the 62-year-old Italian coach in the 2019/20 season, when the Roman club beat Sarri’s Juventus 3-1 in Rome.
