The managerial merry-go-round is coming to Lazio too, with reports Marco Baroni is on the way out, including links with Sergio Conceicao, Miroslav Klose and returning Maurizio Sarri.
Baroni is widely expected to part company with the club after they crashed out of the European places on the final day of the season with a shock 1-0 home defeat to 10-man Lecce.
There had already been tension between coach and directors over the transfer strategy and that only intensified with dismal results in the second half of the campaign.
The search is on for a replacement and President Claudio Lotito is seemingly looking to the past, seeking figures who already have a bond with the Lazio supporters.
This could lead him to Sergio Conceicao, who is eager to show what he can do in Serie A with a little more stability after a chaotic six months at Milan.
Another ex-player is Klose, who went from Bayern Munich assistant manager to coach at SCR Altach and FC Nurnberg.
Calciomercato.com even point towards a return for Sarri, who had been on the bench until walking away in March 2024 over personal matters.
Outside candidates mentioned include ex-Ajax boss Francesco Farioli and HNK Hajduk Split coach Gennaro Gattuso.
