Lazio have agreed a deal with Hellas Verona for talented forward Matteo Cancellieri, overtaking the interested Sassuolo.
The Neroverdi have been in talks for the 20-year-old Italian forward for the last few days, keen to pay around €6 million for his signature, but they’ve been overtaken by the Biancocelesti, who have already been in talks with Hellas Verona for a while now regarding a number of other players like Nicolo Casale and Ivan Ilic.

The 20-year-old could undergo his pre-transfer medicals in Rome as early as today in order to be ready for the rapidly approaching pre-season training camp in Auronzo di Cadore.
Cancellieri struggled for consistent minutes last season under Igor Tudor, only making 12 Serie A appearances for a total of 217 minutes, and he scored one goal. He’s a talented forward who can either play as a right winger or rotate with Ciro Immobile up front.
