Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has stepped up his play for Lazio in Serie A play so far over 2021.
The Serbian midfielder continues to showcase his ability as one of the stout box-to-box midfielders in the league. Not only does he exert an influence when Lazio is out of possession, but the midfielder also contributes when the side maintains possession.
For one, Milinkovic-Savic has recorded seven goal contributions over Lazio’s league fixtures in 2021. This includes goals against the likes of Sassuolo and assists against the likes of Udinese.
Milinkovic-Savic’s performances as of late earned him a spot in WhoScored’s Serie A team of 2021 so far this year.

Milinkovic-Savic is accompanied by three other midfielders in this team selection, including Napoli’s top goal contributor Lorenzo Insigne.
Lazio will surely look for Milinkovic-Savic to remain in top form as a midfielder over the remainder of this season, including in key upcoming matches against AS Roma.
