Leeds United survived in the Premier League last season, their first campaign since promotion from the Championship as champions.
The Whites, led by Daniel Farke, finished 14th whilst also making it to the semi-final of the FA Cup, where the club were knocked out by Chelsea.
United have acted in the summer transfer window, making a series of signings that Farke and the club will hope can aid them in the coming season.
Tarik Muharemovic has joined the club on a five-year contract whilst Alex Cairns has put pen to paper on a new two-year deal at Elland Road.
Harry Wilson has also made the move to Leeds, joining on a free transfer, but more business is to be done if the club are to be successful during the coming season in the Premier League.
Now, the club have announced their latest signings. This time, however, they have fallen in the academy, not the first team.
Taking to their official website, the Premier League side stated: “Leeds United are proud to announce 12 players have earned scholarships with the Academy, continuing their development at Thorp Arch after signing two-year deals.”
The list of scholars is as follows:
Liam Balmer
George Banks
Oliver Bennett
Marley Hazell-Schofield
Owen Heywood
Oluwatobi Johnson
Alex Massey
Kai Morrall
Marlon Mensah
Thomas Stockton
Alfie Walker
Joshua Woolfrey
Walker previously played for Manchester United but left the club earlier this year after nine years at the club, announcing it on Instagram.
Now, with him joining up with Leeds, he could face Manchester United sides in his development during the coming years.
With two years to prove himself, Alfie Walker will look to get to work immediately to prove himself to the coaches at Leeds United and make a good impression.
