Lewis Hall has continued to prove his case at Newcastle United with him solidifying the starting role at the club during this season.
The left-back, who narrowly missed out on selection for England’s squad for the upcoming World Cup, has made 29 appearances in the Premier League this season, scoring once whilst providing one assist.
CentreDevils exclusively revealed earlier this week that Manchester United had contacted representatives of the former Chelsea defender surrounding a possible deal.
His feelings surrounding a move away from Newcastle have been unknown, however, as the media and supporters continue to speculate about his future.
Now, new information has emerged with Hall considering his future at Newcastle United currently according to GiveMeSport reporter Sam Cohen, reporting on the outlet’s website.
The journalist has also confirmed that the Red Devils are interested, having held a long-standing commitment.
Hall also would prefer to continue his career in the Premier League whilst his preference is not move back to London, something that benefits the Red Devils in their pursuit to secure the signing in the summer transfer window.
Luke Shaw currently plays at left-back for Manchester United having established himself in the role over the course of the second half of the season under Michael Carrick.
The Red Devils also have additional depth in the position with Moroccan international Noussair Mazraoui, Danish international Patrick Dorgu, and Diego Leon all able to play in the position.
It remains to be seen whether Lewis Hall would take up a starting role in Michael Carrick’s side although it is likely that he would have large amounts of competition to get past.
With his preference to remain in the Premier League, and to avoid London, a move to Manchester United remains open and may be something supporters monitor in the coming weeks.
