Manchester United fans voiced their frustration at half-time after going 2-0 down at home to Newcastle on Wednesday.
Erik ten Hag's side were booed off the pitch after goals from Miguel Almiron and Lewis Hall had fired Newcastle into a commanding lead at Old Trafford.
Things then got even worse after the interval. Joe Willock made it 3-0 with a fine low finish from outside of the penalty area.
Almiron - who was only on the pitch in the first half because of an early injury picked up by Matt Targett - opened the scoring on 28 minutes after a stunning assist by Valentino Livramento.
The Paraguayan was then involved in the build-up to Newcastle's second goal, which was finished off by Hall with a volley from 17 yards.
This was the first goal of Hall's senior career. The 19-year-old is currently on loan at Newcastle from Chelsea.
Willock's goal arrived on the hour and prompted Newcastle fans to chant at Ten Hag: "You're getting sacked in the morning."
Wednesday's game was in the EFL Cup's round of 16.
United had beaten Newcastle 2-0 in the final of last season's tournament.
