After PSG defeated Stade Brestois 3-0 on Saturday, Brest manager Eric Roy stated how far the Parisians have come from only relying on individual talent to being a collective unit that’s a machine.
“I can assure you it’s much harder to face PSG than to go to the dentist,” Roy said (h/t Le10Sport). “And it hurts a lot more. Because when I see my players chasing the ball, I’m running with them, suffering with them.”
“Three or four years ago, when we played against PSG, I used to tell my players: There are great individual talents, we’ll need to be careful, but at any moment, we can compete. Today, while preparing, I kept asking myself for a long time: ‘What can I possibly say to make them believe we can compete?'”
