Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp 'not involved' in Mohamed Salah contract talks

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is more focused on Mohamed Salah's play than on his contract negotiations with the club.

"There's nothing really to say, especially from me as I am not involved," Klopp said, according to Sky Sports. "The only thing I'm really interested in is how Mo looks, how sharp and committed he is at the moment, and that's absolutely spot on.

"He looks really good. There is nothing else to say."

Salah has just two years remaining on his contract, and Klopp confirmed last month that the club had begun discussions with him on an extension.

Salah scored a second-half equalizer in Liverpool's 3-2 Champions League win over AC Milan on Wednesday. He now has four goals in five games in all competitions.

The Egyptian has been a crucial part of Liverpool's success since joining from Roma in 2017. He helped The Reds win the Champions League in 2019 before ending the club's 30-year Premier League title drought one year later.

Liverpool is third in the Premier League and will face Crystal Palace at Anfield on Sunday before facing Brentford in their next PL match next weekend.
