Kounde has reportedly featured less regularly for Barcelona this season. That change has fuelled speculation that the club could be preparing for his departure, particularly because he had previously been regarded as one of their most established players.

Arsenal face competition for Kounde

The situation could benefit Arsenal, but they are aware that several major clubs may also be interested in signing him. The Gunners have followed Kounde for a long time and are understood to be considering a move, although competition could make a deal difficult.

Liverpool’s strong relationship with Barcelona could work in their favour during negotiations. Their reported willingness to pay such a substantial fee may also put pressure on Arsenal, who could be less inclined to spend that amount on the defender.

Arsenal already have two established right-backs, meaning the club may need to consider selling one before committing to a major transfer. Paying a large fee for Kounde would represent a significant decision, particularly with existing options in that position.
