Liverpool are reportedly considering a move for Ramos, according to Anfield Index. While the 23-year-old is not at the top of the club’s wishlist, the report claims he’s under consideration as part of a data-driven, “Moneyball”-style approach to recruitment.
Ramos joined PSG on a permanent deal following an initial loan spell, with the French club paying €65 million (approximately £54.7 million) for the Portugal international.
CaughtOffside recently reported that interest in Gonçalo Ramos is starting to heat up, with a potential deal still very much in play. Newcastle, Aston Villa, Napoli, and Juventus are all keeping tabs on the PSG striker, while Arsenal and Manchester United are also said to be looking to strengthen their attacking options this summer.
Ramos’ role at PSG has come into question, especially with manager Luis Enrique often preferring Ousmane Dembele in the No. 9 role. That decision could be a clear signal to the former Benfica forward that he may not be viewed as a first-choice striker moving forward.
