Liverpool eyeing 6 goal ace to replace Mohamed Salah
ANP

The chiefs at Kirkby are looking to dip into the market as they look to back Arne Slot with some signings that suit his style of play, and the Reds are reportedly linked with a move for 22-year-old Algerian international Anis Hadj Moussa, per Football Insider.

The 2002-born winger is currently at Feyenoord, Slot’s former club, and the Merseysiders are looking to bring the wide forward to L4 after identifying him as a potential successor to Mohamed Salah, whose future at Anfield looks dimmer with every passing day.

Hadj Moussa to replace Salah? He won’t be enough

The Egyptian messiah is one of the modern icons at Anfield Stadium; however, he has said that this may be the last season at L4, and with his current contract set to expire in the summer of 2025, his departure seems unavoidable these days. However, replacing a player of his ability will be difficult, and the Reds are looking at a move to sign Hadj Moussa.

Hadj Moussa has been impressive in the ongoing campaign with six goals and two assists to his name in 19 outings across all competitions. And at 22, he would be more of a long-term investment at L4, something that seamlessly fits into the history of the club nurturing young talent into global stars. But with prospects of filling Salah’s shoes, pressure will be high, and there is a section of the Kop that believes that replacing the 32-year-old’s impact may need not one player but multiple players.

For now, with the rumours, Liverpool supporters will hope that the club can secure Hadj Moussa’s signature in the 2025 transfer intervals.
