Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that extending Konaté’s contract with Liverpool appears to be challenging, with no agreement reached between the club and the player so far.
Fichajes recently reported that Konaté has agreed to a long-term deal with Real Madrid, keeping him at the club until June 2031. The contract follows the same approach Real Madrid used with Trent Alexander-Arnold, who signed under similar terms.
According to the report, Konaté’s decision to leave Anfield is driven by the opportunity for a new challenge. The chance to wear the Real Madrid shirt and compete for every trophy ultimately tipped the scales in the club’s favor over other offers.
