Antoine Semenyo is one of the biggest Premier League names being discussed for a January transfer after his recent success at Bournemouth.
The 25-year-old has been excelling with The Cherries, grabbing 13 goals and seven assists in 42 games last season, and being set to for a career best during this campaign.
Already, in 17 games, Semenyo has scored eight goals and grabbed three assists, setting him up for an even more successful season this time round.
However, with the January transfer window on the horizon, a change of clubs is extremely likely, especially with his release clause being conditional of the January window.
The Ghana international has a clause to see him sold for £65 million, but is only active until 10th January 2026, to give Bournemouth time to sign a replacement before the window shuts.
As such, Manchester United and Manchester City are looking to battle it out for the winger, with Liverpool also on edge of joining the transfer race.
Sky Sports has reported that Liverpool are considering renewing their interest in the winger after the recent injury to Alexander Isak.
The new injury to their summer signing is the latest issue for the Liverpool attack, which has also seen Mohamed Salah join Egypt for the Africa Cup of Nations campaign.
Alongside this, Cody Gakpo is also out injured, limiting Arne Slot’s options and requiring reinforcement, having only Frederico Chiesa, Hugo Ekitike, Rio Ngumoha, Domonik Szoboszlai and Florian Wirtz at his disposal.
However it’s the same issue for United, with Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo out for AFCON, leaving only Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha, Mason Mount and Joshua Zirkzee as attacking options.
With both clubs having a real need for recruitment, at them moment there doesn’t appear to be an explicit front-runner for Antoine Semenyo, however it’s not expected for the 25-year-old to see out the rest of the season with Bournemouth.
