Manchester City and Liverpool played to a 2-2 draw Sunday, keeping the two teams one point apart at the top of the Premier League table.
The two sides traded goals early with City's Kevin De Bruyne scoring just a handful of minutes into the match and Liverpool's Diogo Jota equalizing in the 13th minute. In the 36th minute, City recaptured the lead with a goal from Gabriel Jesus.

City went to halftime up 2-1, but Liverpool leveled the score again with a goal from Sadio Mane less than a minute into the second half.

A third goal for City from Raheem Sterling was disallowed after review showed he was offside. In the final seconds of the match, City's Riyad Mahrez had a chance for a game-winner, but couldn't put his shot on goal.

City entered Sunday with a one-point lead over Liverpool and maintains that lead following the draw. City now has 74 points and Liverpool has 73, while Chelsea is a distant third place with 62.
With seven matches left on the schedule for each club, City has two matches left against teams currently in the top 10 on the table (West Ham United and Wolverhampton) with both on the road. Liverpool has three home matches (Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton) left against top-10 teams.
