La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Liverpool have put Darwin Nuñez on the market, with Milan interested. However, the Uruguay international would be unlikely to play alongside Santiago Gimenez if he were to move to San Siro.
Gazzetta dello Sport confirms Milan are interested in Liverpool striker Nuñez.
A previous report from Corriere dello Sport claimed the Uruguay striker is available for €60m, while Gazzetta believes €50m would be enough to persuade Liverpool to sell their striker.
According to the pink paper, Liverpool have put Nuñez on the market and are ready to listen to offers for the 25-year-old.
The striker remains on good terms with the club, but his lack of playing time under Arne Slot has convinced him to look elsewhere.
A classic centre-forward, Milan are said to be interested in the Uruguayan because of his physical structure and his ability to press the opponents and exploit the space.
New Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri, however, is expected to line up the Rossoneri with a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 formation, so if Nuñez were to join Milan, he’d fight for a starting spot with Gimenez, who joined the Rossoneri only six months ago.
