Liverpool star is a dream signing for Barcelona sporting director Deco

One position that is likely to be addressed during the transfer window is left wing, with Joao Felix leaving and Raphinha heavily linked with a departure too.

Athletic Club’s Nico Williams is well-liked at Can Barca, but according to Diario AS, Deco’s dream signing is Liverpool’s Luis Diaz. The Colombian winger could have a chance to leave the Premier League giants in the summer if deemed necessary by their incoming manager, Arne Slot.

If Raphinha is sold amid interest from clubs in England and Saudi Arabia, it could allow a deal for Diaz to be bankrolled. Deco likes the 27-year-old for his pace and trickery, and he would be a more natural option on the left. For now, it remains to be seen whether Barcelona try to make a summer move.
