Paris Saint-Germain are linked to various forwards as they aim to replace Kylian Mbappé’s production when he reportedly leaves in June. One of the names that recently surfaced is Liverpool’s Luis Díaz and his father also commented on his son’s future.

Last week, a report from Foot Mercato noted that Díaz is Qatar’s priority to bolster PSG’s attack, and contacts have already been established with the player’s agent.

However, as per Sky Sports News, PSG are not considering Díaz as a replacement for Mbappé. Moreover, neither PSG sporting advisor Luis Campos nor head coach Luis Enrique have expressed any interest in signing Díaz.

Diaz’s father spoke with Cadena SER and while he didn’t mention PSG, it seems the Liverpool standout is committed to playing in the Premier League.

“There was never anything serious with Real Madrid or Atlético,” Diaz’s father told the Spanish media outlet (h/t Le10Sport). “Liverpool has always been more determined and concrete to sign Luis. We haven’t lost hope yet… Luis is playing well and Spanish clubs are still active in the market.”

For PSG, Bradley Barcola and Ousmane Dembélé will hold down the wing positions when Mbappé leaves, so it never made sense to splash a high amount on a player who might not start next season.
