Napoli and Roma have turned their attention toward Kamaldeen Sulemana after encountering some problems with other targets, but Atalanta, while providing an initial opening, must decide what to do with Ademola Lookman first. Fenerbahce have returned in force for him.
According to Alfredo Pedullà, the Turkish team has been chasing after the star for a few months. They have tendered a very large salary, but they have to be equally lavish with the fee. La Dea is leaning toward accepting offers north of €35M. The Nigerian forward hasn’t been great this campaign and has been trying to leave for two years. His contract is up in 2027. Atletico Madrid also inquired and are ready to jump in eventually, Gianluca Di Marzio reports.
Atalanta won’t lose both Lookman and Sulemana, so Roma and Napoli will have to wait to know whether they have a real shot at nabbing the latter. He had an okay start under Ivan Juric, who had already coached him at Southampton, but he has played little with Raffaele Palladino at the helm following a thigh injury. He has scored twice and assisted once in 21 appearances.
The Bergamaschi spent €17M for the 23-year-old in the summer and could accept an initial loan with an option to buy that exceeds €20M. The Giallorossi have given up for Yannick Ferreira Carrasco, while the Partenopei have been asked to pay €4M up front for Alisson Santos.
All the previous attempts to lure the former have met an insurmountable wall, but it’s the last window in which La Dea has maximum leverage, given his contractual situation. Moreover, they figure to be more inclined to send him abroad rather than to a rival.
