Man City boss Guardiola reveals major injury boost

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola expects a selection boost for this week's Champions quarterfinal second-leg against Real Madrid.

Guardiola rested Rodri and John Stones on the day.

He said: John has some problems, some niggles. He's fine. He's not injured but doesn't feel comfortable, so we didn't take a risk.

Asked if Rodri had benefited from his rest against Luton, Guardiola added: Absolutely. He is going to rest on Wednesday as well. You believe me?"
