Manchester United have a three-man shortlist to bolster their defence ahead of the new season.
The Red Devils are in talks with West Ham United to sell Harry Maguire for a fee in the region of 30 million.
While United have spent big on Andre Onana, Rasmus Hojlund, and Mason Mount, they will have more funds available.
The club will now look to add a younger defender who suits manager Erik ten Hag's style.
Maguire will also create a significant opening in the wage bill, given his high salary.
Bayern Leverkusen's Edmond Tapsoba, Jean-Clair Todibo of Ligue 1 club Nice and Bayern Munich's Benjamin Pavard are the chief targets, per the Evening Standard and Fabrizio Romano.
