While he cannot match Bryan Mbeumo’s performances this season, Adeyemi has out-performed both Amad Diallo and Matheus Cunha. Both of the latter have struggled this season – Diallo isn’t a natural fit in Amorim’s system and Cunha has scored just one goal this season.

He isn’t going to get in over Saka – as such, this only leaves the right wing spot open to him. This slot is usually open to Eze, who has been in fine form this season. While his goal contributions are lesser than Adeyemi’s, he brings a level of creativity to the team that the German international cannot replicate.

Due to the reasons above, we believe that Adeyemi would be better served moving to Manchester United, rather than Arsenal. He has the potential to be a star man for the Red Devils – at Arsenal, he could be quickly forgotten.

Adeyemi’s recent controversy

While Adeyemi is a precocious talent with bags of ability, a recent incident has threatened to derail his career. According to BILD, Adeyemi has recently been charged with possession of illegal weaponry and was slapped with a €450,000 fine as a result.

He has, however, seemingly escaped a harsher punishment – he also has not been handed a criminal record. Additionally, while people can serve up to ten years in prison in Germany for possession of brass knuckles (one of the weapons found in his possession), Adeyemi will face no time behind bars for his infraction.

While he has gotten out of this bind relatively unscathed, it may be off-putting to big clubs linked with him – it gives the impression of a volatile personality. In an era where a disciplined approach to the game is paramount, this could prove to be a major speedbump in the 23 year old’s career.
