Gabriele Biancheri’s standout performances for Manchester United’s Under-21s have put him in the frame for a prestigious individual honour.
The Red Devils have a crop of young talent nearing the first team, and few are generating more excitement than the 19-year-old forward.
Biancheri scored three goals in a one-sided recent win over Tottenham, with Diego Leon adding another in a dominant display from the United youngsters.
While Chido Obi provides healthy competition at youth level, Biancheri’s four goals in seven Premier League 2 matches this season suggest he has earned his chance to move up.
Bryan Mbeumo was recently named Premier League Player of the Month, while Amorim took home the Manager of the Month award.
October was a strong month overall for Man United, and Biancheri played his part at youth level.
Earlier today, the Premier League Football Development Panel announced its shortlist of eight nominees for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month, with Biancheri included among them.

The Wales U21 international picked up three goals and two assists in three matches this month, giving him a solid chance to claim the award.
If Biancheri does win the award, he will be in good company.
Alejandro Garnacho was nominated in 2022, while Phil Foden won it in 2017, not long after Declan Rice picked it up during his time at West Ham.
With United’s schedule set to pick up pace after the international break, Biancheri could push even harder for a first-team chance under Amorim.
The club opted not to loan him out this season, so getting into a matchday squad would show real trust from the staff in his readiness to play.
