Man Utd in Stam talks about return

Manchester United are said to have held talks with Jaap Stam over the past few weeks.

The former centre half is the subject of discussions about a surprise return to Old Trafford.

Per TuttoMercatoWeb, United have been in touch with their legendary defender about a role at the club.

Stam won the Champions League with United in 1999 and countless other honors.

Whether he is interested in any role, be it coaching or in the boardroom, is not known.

Stam did work as a scout at United back in 2008, but eventually went on to become a manager at several clubs around the world.
