Manchester United 2026/27 third kit debut date officially confirmed

Manchester United released their third kit for the upcoming season earlier today, completing the club’s respective main kit releases for the campaign.

Following the unveiling of the home and away kits respectively earlier this year, the third kit follows a minimalistic and structured style with the Adidas, Snapdragon, and Manchester United logo appearing in line with each other at the middle of the shirt.

Whilst the home kit follows a traditional red colour palette, and the away kit pays homage to similar kits of the 20th century, United’s third jersey is primarily ivory with the famous Adidas stripes featuring on the side.

United’s home kit made its debut at the end of last season, against Nottingham Forest, whilst the away kit was debuted earlier on in pre-season.

The club have now stated on the official United website that the newly-released third kit will make its official debut against AC Milan in the club’s final pre-season game.

Manchester United have performed well in pre-season, beating Rosenberg, Atletico Madrid, and Leeds United whilst drawing with European champions Paris Saint Germain.

AC Milan, led by former United manager Ruben Amorim, have failed to win any pre-season games under his tenureship so far, on the other hand.

It is rare that Manchester United wear their third kit, in comparison to their home and away counterparts, whilst it is extremely rare to see the club facing their previous boss just eight months after his departure.

United’s clash with AC Milan takes place in Wroclaw, Poland tomorrow at Tarczynski Arena with the match kicking off at 19:45 BST.

Many of the club’s most recognisable names could make their returns following the World Cup, including central defender Lisandro Martinez and captain Bruno Fernandes.

Players from AC Milan who participated in the late stages of the World Cup may also make their returns, too.
