Manchester United and Newcastle United join list of three suitors for Barcelona defender

Barcelona will listen to offers for the majority of their squad this summer, and that includes French defender Jules Kounde. Already linked with an exit last summer due to playing out of position, the 25-year-old has always denied wanting to leave the Blaugrana.

He is not short of suitors though. As per MD , Chelsea, Manchester United and Parsi Saint-Germain have already shown interest, and recent reports in England and Italy respectively have also included Kounde as an option for Newcastle United and Inter Milan this summer. He still has a contract until 2027, and has been an important option for Xavi Hernandez again this year, albeit mostly from the right again.

Aston Villa have also been linked with Kounde in the past, while links to PSG have also been denied in France. Ultimately, until one of the prospective sides persuades Kounde that there is life outside of the Catalan capital, there will be little to talk about. Barcelona are expected to sell one of Kounde or Ronald Araujo this summer, and currently the Uruguayan appears much more likely.
