The summer transfer window is just around the corner and as such, Manchester United are drawing up their plans for signings and offloads.
Already the club are looking to sell loanees Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Hojlund to Barcelona and Napoli respectively.
Alongside them, The Red Devils are understood to be open to offers for Mason Mount, Joshua Zirkzee, Maunel Ugarte and Andre Onana.
However, there are some other players the club are looking to offload on a temporary basis.
Each year United look to their younger stars, weighing up loan spells to help with their development, giving them more match experience.
This season, Manchester United authorised 15 different loan spells for their academy stars, including Enzo Kana-Biyik and Sekou Kone going to sister club FC Lausanne-Sport.
However, this summer could see star attacker Shea Lacey head out on loan for the first time.
Alan Nixon has reported on his Patreon that The Red Devils are considering letting the winger go out on loan to help him gain more match experience.
Already this season, Lacey has made three appearances, with his debut coming as a six-minute cameo against Aston Villa back in December 2025.
Since then he made another six-minute cameo against Burnley shortly before coming on against Brighton for the final 27-minutes of the FA Cup Third Round clash.
Shea Lacey is considered as one of the most exciting prospects at the United academy despite missing long periods through injury.
However, the belief of the club is that Lacey is at the point in his development where he needs game time week-in-week-out to keep the momentum behind his growth.
With little chance of the 18-year-old breaking into the first-team squad next year after the arrival of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and the continued form of Amad Diallo, a stint away from the club could be his best option.
