Manchester United closing in on a deal to sign Le Havre’s highly-regarded prospect Enzo Kana-Biyik

Manchester United have already started planning for the summer transfer window, as evidenced by INEOS’ proactive approach of opening talks with Wolverhampton Wanderers star Matheus Cunha.

Last summer, the club brought in young talents. Chido Obi and Sekou Kone. Head coach Ruben Amorim welcomed the signings of Patrick Dorgu and Ayden Heaven during the winter transfer window. They are all young players who are hungry and keen to take the next step in their careers.

Over the past few weeks, Manchester United have been strongly linked to another incredible talent, Enzo Kana-Biyik. The 18-year-old is set to leave Le Havre AC—the same club Man United signed Paul Pogba from—despite wishes from the French club to extend his contract.

Now, according to reliable French newspaper L’Equipe, United are close to securing the signing of Enzo Kana-Biyik from Le Havre. Talks are well underway between the Premier League giants and the teenager’s representatives, with an imminent outcome that could be announced soon.

Kana-Biyik, a highly-rated young forward, is the son of former Cameroon international and Le Havre defender Andre Kana-Biyik. He has been on the fringes of the Le Havre senior side, despite being called up to the bench by manager Didier Digard. The talented forward is yet to make a first team appearance for the Normandy club thus far.

The teenager has been a regular for the Le Havre U-19s since the turn of the year, playing 90 minutes in each of their last eight league fixtures and scoring four goals to take his total for the season to nine. The aforementioned report adds that French duo AS Monaco and Marseille opened the doors for Kana-Biyik to visit their facilities, but United are leading the race for his signature.

The Red Devils have a very clear and definite progression plan for Kana-Biyik. He will not join Amorim’s first team squad immediately. The African prodigy will spend the next season out on loan at Swiss side FC Lausanne-Sport, which is one of INEOS-owned clubs. So, there is a proper strategy of nurturing his talent.

Widely regarded as one of France’s brightest prospects, securing Kana-Biyik’s signature will be a major coup for our club.
