Manchester United picked up a well fought 2-1 victory against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon to make it two wins in a row and seven games unbeaten.

An early goal from Maxence Lacroix appeared to stun Michael Carrick’s men in the first half, with Palace dominating proceedings at times during the first period.

But, second half goals from Bruno Fernandes and Benjamin Sesko, alongside a red card for Lacroix, helped to ensure that the Red Devils picked up all three points.

The win takes Carrick’s men above Aston Villa and into third in the Premier League ahead of their clash with Newcastle United in midweek.

However, during the game, both Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire appeared to be injured with both players substituted off the field.

Firstly, Shaw, who started the game at left-back, went down in the 23rd minute and needed treatment from the medical team.

Following treatment, he was helped off by the medical staff and was substituted for Noussair Mazraoui.

Meanwhile, in the second half, Harry Maguire was substituted in the final ten minutes of the game for Ayden Heaven.

As he went off the field, the central defender received a standing ovation. But, after he came off the field, he headed down the tunnel and towards the dressing room, potentially indicating an injury.

If both players are injured, they will join Lisandro Martinez, Patrick Dorgu, and Mason Mount on the treatment table, who all missed the fixture today.

Now, with the game finished, attention from Manchester United supporters could turn towards Michael Carrick to see if he provides an update on both players.

Meanwhile, supporters may choose to look on social media to see if either player is seen on their way out of the stadium.
