Manchester United are finally finding their form once more, seeing their 3-2 win over Fulham string together a third consecutive win under Michael Carrick.

An undefeated January in the Premier League has seen The Red Devils rise to fourth overall, lining them up for Champions League football if their run of form continues.

A return to Europe will be much needed for the side however, as the lack of European football dealt a massive blow financially to the club.

The loss of the Europa League alone saw a drop of £40 million in revenue, whilst if they’d have won the final against Tottenham in Bilbao, an extra £100 million would have come into the club through Champions League revenue.

Thankfully, United boast some of the most lucrative sponsorship deals in the Premier League, helping to steady the ship financially.

A £90 million per season deal with kit manufacturer Adidas and £60 million per season with Snapdragon parent company Qualcomm is much-needed funding for the club.

However, The Athletic has now reported that The Red Devils are set to lose their shirt sleeve sponsor, DXC Technology.

Their deal with the technology firm is due to expire at the end of the season, with no successor or new sponsor lined up as of yet.

This comes on the back of their sponsorship deal with Tezos for the training kits ended last summer, a partnership which still hasn’t been replaced.

That said, United are understood to be in no panic to replace the partnerships, wanting to ensure they get the right partner rather than just filling the gap.

However, as nice as that sounds, the result is a £24 million shortfall since the Tezos deal ended, with the end of the partnership with DXC only set to increase that.
