Amad Diallo asks Manchester United supporters to have patience with the team and manager  Ruben Amorim amid changes this summer. The 23-year-old played a crucial role last season, despite the fans enduring one of the worst campaigns for Man United.

The Red Devils finished 15th in the Premier League last season and ended with a Europa League cup final loss. While Diallo was one of the few positives for the fans, the season will remain a forgettable one for them.

Not only did United hit rock bottom, but their historical rivals, Liverpool, equalled the decade-old record of 20 League titles. United cannot afford a repeat of the last season and needs drastic changes in their culture and approach under Amorim.

The squad’s inability to adapt to Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 tactics and demand cost the club, showcasing that the manager needs changes. The former Sporting CP boss has made some ruthless calls, putting inconsistent players up for sale and targeting his preferences.

United have signed Matheus Cunha already and are close to agreeing a deal for Bryan Mbeumo to bolster the attack. We All Follow United covered how Cunha’s positive performance in the pre-season game against Leeds United highlights what Amorim wants. Amad asked the United supporters (via TNT Sports) to have patience with the team and Amorim amid multiple positive changes. He said:

“I think they have to be patient with us. There’s a new manager, with new players and new tactics. We know last season wasn’t really good for the team, but I think this season we will win a lot with him, and I hope this season we are going to achieve a lot of good things by the end of the season. A good season will be top five. I hope we can achieve that top five at the end of the season because I think they deserve it.”

United fans have a lot of time for Amad as one of the bright young talents who deliver performances consistently. The 23-year-old has received praise for his technical ability, close control and willingness to work hard for the team.

However, Amad’s position in the starting eleven is in danger with the signing of prolific Brentford star Mbeumo this summer. Nevertheless, the Ivory Coast international has the versatility to play as a right-wingback for Amorim if required by United.
