Manchester United are up to third in the Premier League for the first time since 2023 thanks to a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The Red Devils, who are now unbeaten in seven, had gone behind early on due to a headed effort from Maxence Lacroix and looked vulnerable at stages in the first half.

But, a second half comeback, which saw goals from Bruno Fernandes and Luke Shaw, ensured that Michael Carrick’s side picked up all three points.

However, news from Old Trafford was not all positive. Injuries to Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire look to have expanded the number of players on the treatment table.

With Mason Mount, Patrick Dorgu, and Lisandro Martinez also out currently, the numbers available to Carrick are shrinking ahead of United’s next game against Newcastle United in midweek.

Meanwhile, at Old Trafford, fans outlined their own protest against Sir Jim Ratcliffe for the comments he made about immigrants in the United Kingdom.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who stated that the United Kingdom had been colonised by immigrants, received large criticism from supporters board, official corporations, and even the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer.

As seen in the image below, the pro-immigrant banner reading “MUFC proudly colonised by immigrants” was displayed inside the stadium bowl and caught the attention of those inside the stadium.

With this protest made, attention from supporters could turn towards the club to see if any further protests are organised.

Meanwhile, attention could also turn towards the club to see if they respond to these protests in the same way they aimed to make their stance clear following Ratcliffe’s initial comments.

But, considering the busy schedule of the club, supporters may not receive an official response from the club.
