Manchester United goalkeeper officially confirms departure after 10 years

Manchester United goalkeeper Senne Lammens established himself as one of the club’s standout performers during his first season at Old Trafford.

The Belgian joined from Royal Antwerp last summer and quickly became United’s first-choice option.

Lammens made 32 Premier League appearances, recorded 79 saves and kept eight clean sheets during an impressive debut campaign.

He also prevented more goals than any other goalkeeper based on expected-goals data and was named the Premier League Transfer of the Season.

United have since strengthened the position further ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

Karl Darlow joined on a free transfer following the expiry of his Leeds United contract.

The experienced Wales international signed a deal until June 2028 and will provide support and competition for Lammens.

Now, another Manchester United goalkeeper has officially confirmed a departure after spending a decade with the club.

Goalkeeper confirms Manchester United exit

Manchester United Women’s Under-21 goalkeeper Millie Crook has announced that her time at the club has come to an end.

Crook confirmed the news in a message posted on Instagram.

“Thank you United,” she wrote alongside a heart emoji.

“After 10 years with this amazing club, my time has come to an end.”

The young goalkeeper added that she had created many special memories and learned lessons that she would carry throughout her career.

She also thanked the staff and players she worked with before saying she was excited for her next challenge.

Crook was part of Manchester United’s successful Women’s Academy setup.

She featured for the Under-21s and was recognised by the club at the end of the 2025/26 season.

The goalkeeper received the Under-21s Club Values Award after staff decided that she had consistently represented Manchester United’s principles throughout the campaign.

Crook had previously won the Under-21s Players’ Player of the Year award for the 2024/25 season.

Her final campaign also ended with silverware, as United’s Under-21s defeated Durham 2-1 to win the Professional Game Academy Plate.

The goalkeeper has not yet confirmed where she will continue her career.
