Manchester United are in pursuit of adding midfield personnel to the squad next season, and have been linked to a host of options to bolster the team for the 2023/24 campaign.

While Erik Ten Hag's side have prioritised recruiting a striker, midfield is another position that will need strengthening after struggling with rotation options during their busy fixture list this campaign.

Marcel Sabitzer impressed on his six-month loan deal that begun in January, and according to Florian Plettenberg, a deal may cost up to €25 million to make it permanent.

United are said to be uncertain on whether to materialise this move, with no developments been made in the transfer, however United are still interested in the 29 year old.

Sabitzer featured in 18 games for United, including starting in the Carabao Cup final against Newcastle, before suffering a meniscal injury keeping him out for the remainder of the season.

Adrien Rabiot is another name that has been linked with a move to Old Trafford, with the Juventus player seen as the top target by the club in terms of midfield options.
