Manchester United make enquiry for Ismaila Sarr

Manchester United are looking to continue building their squad after a successful transfer window last summer.

The Red Devils brought in the attacking trio of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko, while also signing Senne Lammens to be the club’s first-choice goalkeeper.

Now, United are once more looking to strengthen their squad as they prepare for their next season, as they return to the Champions League.

As such, United have already announced the signings of Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans, and Karl Darlow, and now have asked about another one of their summer targets.

FootMercato have reported that United have made enquiries about Crystal Palace’s Ismaila Sarr.

It’s been known that United are looking at further strengthening their attack on the left-wing, with Sarr’s versatility to play on both sides of the attack.

His recent showing at the 2026 World Cup has only added to his reputation, grabbing four goals and two assists in four games while on international duty.

This summer’s showing is only the most recent set of impressive performances, however, on the back of his career-best season.

In 45 games for Palace, Sarr managed to score 21 goals and grab two assists as they enjoyed their first season in the UEFA Conference League, making it through to winning the final.

However, despite the impressive season, Ismaila Sarr is not understood to be a priority for United, but more of an option to keep an eye on.

Sarr now joins a shortlist of Iliman Ndiaye and Crycensio Summerville as potential transfers for the Old Trafford flank, depending on the future of Marcus Rashford.

After failing to make his temporary move to Barcelona permanent, Rashford is now set to return to United and reunite with Michael Carrick who is understood to be open to reintegrating him into the squad.

However, United fans will have to wait a little longer to understand who the next major signing is set to be at Old Trafford this summer.
