Manchester United are striving for success as the season approaches a crucial climax in all elements.
The men’s team, who are sat third in the Premier League currently, have undergone a major comeback since January with Michael Carrick coming into the club and giving the team a lift in form.
Since Carrick’s arrival, the team have won seven games with just one loss in ten fixtures.
These results have seen the club rise above sides such as Liverpool, Aston Villa, and Chelsea and into the heart of the Champions League conversation heading into the Premier League’s April schedule.
The impact of these results can not be understated, and they have been rewarded by the League with Michael Carrick winning the award for January Manager of the Month whilst Benjamin Sesko won PFA Premier League Fans’ Player of the Month for February.
The women’s side have also been aiming for success with Marc Skinner’s side falling just short in the Women’s League Cup against Chelsea earlier this month.
Now, Hinata Miyazawa, who represents Manchester United at club level and Japan at international level, has won the 2026 Asia Cup with her nation after beating Australia 1-0 in the final of the tournament.
The midfielder featured in each of Japan’s six matches with three goals and two assists in the tournament.
With this achievement reached, Hinata Miyazawa will return to Manchester United where she could feature in crucial matches against Bayern Munich in the Champions League and Manchester City.
Miyazawa had signed a new contract with Manchester United earlier this season, keeping her at the club for a further three years.
Her achievement in the Asia Cup, alongside displays for the club in the Women’s Super League, League Cup, and Women’s Champions League will only further increase her value in the coming months.
