Manchester United have undergone a very eventful January so far.
An early exit from the FA Cup third round to Brighton and Hove Albion condemned United to to their lowest fixture total since the 1914/15 season.
Ruben Amorim lost his job as head coach earlier in the month and his replacement Michael Carrick has gotten off to the perfect start in his interim role.
Wins against Manchester City and Arsenal respectively have raised the excitement of the United fanbase after a difficult 14 months under Amorim.
There are now further announcements being made at the club.
Man United have announced on their official website that Collette Roche has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer, New Stadium Development.
In a brand‑new role, she will lead the club’s participation in the Old Trafford Regeneration.
This comes less less than a week after the official launch of the Old Trafford Regeneration Mayoral Development Corporation, that will offer thousands of jobs and homes, through the new 100,000-seater stadium for the club.
“I am incredibly proud to have been asked to lead the new stadium development and continue to work closely with the Mayoral Development Corporation and all our diverse stakeholders”, said Roche.
“Our aspiration is to create the best stadium in the world for the best team and fanbase in sport – guided by fans’ input throughout the design and development process.
“We are committed to taking a consultative approach, ensuring our plans are shaped by fans every step of the way.”
For Collette Roche, she will be part of one of the most significant stadium developments the UK has ever seen, with the United board setting out plans for it to be the Wembley of the North.
The news may not be the only updates at the club, with the January transfer window slamming shut very soon.
