Manchester United have already made plenty of changes ahead of the new season, both on and off the pitch.
With the 2026/27 season approaching, attention has also turned towards what the Reds will be wearing when they step onto the pitch.
The club’s latest release takes a noticeably different approach from the traditional red associated with United.
It draws heavily from Manchester itself, with several details designed to reflect the city’s communities, architecture and creative culture.
The new design will also be worn across the men’s, women’s and Academy sides throughout the campaign.
Manchester United have officially unveiled their 2026/27 adidas third kit on their website, with the striking ivory design taking inspiration from the culture and communities of Greater Manchester.
At the centre of the shirt sits United’s distinctive devil crest, positioned alongside the adidas and Snapdragon branding.
The ivory base is complemented by a bespoke floral pattern that stretches across the shirt.
The graphic features hand-drawn rose illustrations incorporated directly into the fabric, taking inspiration from artwork found in Manchester’s community spaces and cultural institutions, including Salford Lads and Girls Club.
Maroon details then provide a strong contrast across the collar, sleeve trims, adidas logo and devil crest.
The colour is intended to reflect the red-brick architecture found throughout Manchester.
Green is also incorporated into the design, appearing on the adidas three stripes as a reference to the city’s recognisable green doors, including those associated with Salford Lads and Girls Club.
The shirt has been finished with a streamlined crew neck, while the back of the collar features a custom ‘Manchester United Football Club’ sign-off.
Away from the visual design, adidas has also built the kit around performance.
Lightweight, body-mapped 3D-engineered fabrics are designed to improve the fit, breathability and freedom of movement.
The shirt also uses adidas’ CLIMACOOL+ technology, with moisture-wicking materials, targeted ventilation zones and engineered textures designed to improve airflow and help players remain comfortable during matches.
The full look is completed by dark shorts featuring matching maroon and green detailing, while the ivory socks carry elements of the floral shirt graphic.
It gives United a third kit that is not only built for performance, but is also heavily rooted in the identity of the city the club calls home.
