Manchester United’s preparations for the new season are continuing to gather pace, with supporters already getting their first glimpse of what lies ahead.

New signings have arrived, pre-season fixtures are underway, and excitement is steadily building before the Premier League returns later this month.

Off the pitch, the club has also rolled out fresh looks for the upcoming season.

Fans have already seen the return of the classic red home strip, while the royal blue away shirt has also hit the shelves after its release in July.

With two kits already available, attention has quickly shifted to the final piece of adidas’ collection for the 2026/27 campaign.

Supporters have been waiting patiently after early leaks surfaced online several weeks ago, giving fans a sneak peek at what was coming.

Speculation has continued ever since, with the leaked images generating plenty of discussion across social media ahead of the official reveal.

Manchester United reveal 2026/27 third kit release date

Manchester United have now confirmed, via their website, that their brand-new adidas third kit will officially launch on Friday, 14 August.

The announcement comes exactly one week before the shirt is unveiled, completing this season’s collection after the home kit was released on 14 May 2026 and the away strip followed on 22 July 2026.

The third shirt is expected to feature a striking off-white base, combined with dark green and maroon detailing to create one of the club’s boldest modern designs.

One of the standout features is a distinctive Lancashire rose pattern, with four hand-drawn roses positioned around the centrally placed club and adidas logos.

Unlike the previous two third kits, adidas have opted to use their modern Performance logo rather than the Trefoil branding.

Another notable design choice is the simplified Snapdragon sponsor. Instead of displaying the full company name across the chest, only the recognisable Snapdragon fireball icon appears, giving the shirt a much cleaner look.

The back collar also includes a bespoke sign-off badge inspired by the famous entrance sign at Salford Lads Club, replacing the original wording with “Manchester United Football Club” while keeping the iconic Lancashire Roses on either side.

The overall concept pays tribute to Manchester United’s roots in the local Salford community.

Drawing inspiration from the historic Salford Lads Club, made globally famous through The Smiths’ 1986 album The Queen Is Dead, the design celebrates both the area’s football heritage and its connection to generations of young supporters.

With the launch now just days away, fans will soon be able to see the club’s final strip in full before Manchester United begin another campaign on the pitch.
