
Several of Manchester United’s players are currently undergoing international duties with their respective sides as individual players take part in qualifiers and friendlies.
Firstly, United captain Bruno Fernandes has played in both of Portugal’s fixtures over the course of the fixture list with the attacking midfielder scoring a hat-trick against Armenia to aid Portugal to qualification for next year’s FIFA World Cup finals.
Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford played in fixtures against Serbia and Albania as England secured perfection in their qualifying group for next year’s World Cup finals in North America.
Furthermore, in Rashford’s second game against Albania, the left-winger gained an assist to Harry Kane’s second goal in a performance that the English media hailed.
Finally, Diego Leon was involved in Paraguay’s international set-up for their friendly matches.
In the second of these matches, against the United States of America, the defender was involved in a mass brawl during additional time in the fixture.
Now, another Manchester United player has fulfilled his international duties and has made his debut for his new international side following a country swap.
According to Spanish outlet AS, Darlington Osuchukwu made his debut for Spain’s Under-17s side following a swap from playing for England’s youth set-up.
In his debut, against the Czech Republic, the goalkeeper conceded one goal as the Spanish won 4-1.
Furthermore, the ‘keeper kept a clean sheet in the first half of this fixture.
Previously, Darlington Osuchukwu had made the bench for Manchester United Under-18s’ fixture against Sunderland marking a major milestone in his progression towards success at the club.
Now, with another milestone reached but this time with an international side, attention could turn towards the Spanish FA to see if Osuchukwu is given more opportunities within the set-up in the national team.
