Manchester United are preparing to begin their pre-season schedule against Wrexham in Helsinki on Saturday afternoon.
Michael Carrick’s side will kick off at 16:00 BST as preparations continue for the 2026/27 campaign.
United finished third in the Premier League last season and will return to the Champions League.
The club have already strengthened Carrick’s squad by signing Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans and Karl Darlow.
However, only Santos is in line to make his debut tomorrow.
Tielemans has been given additional time to recover following his involvement with Belgium at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Darlow is also unavailable as he continues his recovery from a procedure undergone at the end of last season.
United confirmed their travelling squad for the Wrexham fixture.
Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, Mason Mount, Bryan Mbeumo and Joshua Zirkzee are among the experienced players travelling to Finland.
Meanwhile, highly-rated youngsters Shea Lacey, Chido Obi and Ethan Wheatley have also been included.
However, another Manchester United pre-season match has now been cancelled.
United’s academy match against FC Nurnberg was cancelled due to thunderstorms in the area.
Academy news account RedYouthUnited confirmed the development on X during Friday’s fixture.
It initially was suspended before being fully abandoned.
The game was taking place at the Adi-Dassler Stadium in Germany as part of United’s Professional Development Phase squad camp.
The travelling group includes players from the Under-17, Under-18 and Under-21 age groups.
United had arranged two friendly matches on the same day, with the young Reds also facing TSV 1860 Munich’s Under-17 side.
The second fixture was scheduled against Nurnberg’s Under-19 team before the thunderstorm forced officials to cancel.
Several of United’s new first-year scholars travelled for the camp, including Jacey Carrick and Kai Rooney.
Both players signed scholarship agreements earlier this summer and will form part of the Under-18 squad during the new season.
The suspension does not affect Saturday’s senior fixture against Wrexham, which remains scheduled to take place in Helsinki.
