Manchester United are approaching the business end of the Premier League campaign as they, alongside other sides, compete for the best position possible.
The Red Devils, managed by Michael Carrick currently, come into their final eleven games of the season in good form having recently beat Everton 1-0 to make it six matches unbeaten.
As well as this, Carrick’s men have scored in each of his games in charge of the club.
Meanwhile, with Aston Villa losing to Wolverhampton Wanderers last night, United will climb to third in the league should they beat Crystal Palace tomorrow afternoon.
But, it is not just the men’s side that is approaching the business end of their season.
With them now knocked out of the Women’s FA Cup, the women’s side will arguably turn their attention towards succeeding in the Women’s Super League and towards securing a second placed finish.
However, considering the end of the season is so near, both sides are starting to look at their squads as the summer window looms.
Now, according to data presented by Transfer Room at the Women’s Football Forum, Manchester United Women’s squad value grew by £2 million following the window window.
Meanwhile, the data also showed that Marc Skinner’s side spent £700k to do this whilst it revealed that no other side in women’s football had a larger squad value increase.
During the January transfer window, the women’s side were busy signing players such as Lea Schuller from Bayern Munich whilst also gaining the services of Ellen Wangerheim who had been at Hammarby IF previously.
Looking at departures, Skinner’s side sold Rachel Williams to Leicester City whilst also letting Evie Rabjohn leave the club to join Scottish outfit Celtic, amongst other departures.
With the latest figures from this business now revealed, it appears that the women’s side are on the right track towards financial success.
