Marcus Rashford becomes the latest target for Inter Milan as they have recently enquired about the forward’s services. Rashford, who is coming towards his 10th season for his boyhood club, comes off the back of a loan spell with Aston Villa. In his 17 games for the Villans, he found the net on four occasions, with an additional five assists.

Inter Milan Enquire About Potential Deal For Rashford

Marcus Rashford Targeted by Inter Milan

Rashford’s move elsewhere to Inter has now become a possibility, as confirmed by Samuel Lackhurst. The ‘Nerazzurri ‘ have enquired about the 27-year-old on a potential loan deal for the 2025-26 season.

Luckhurst also added that the Red Devils are preparing for the move, especially if it is for the full season. In addition to this, the club also expects that the attacker will move abroad for the first time in his almost decade-long career.

The departure of the Manchester-born forward would mark the fourth player to exit the club this summer. This is alongside Christian Eriksen, Victor Lindelöf and Jonny Evans, who all came to the end of their contracts.

How Manchester United Could Look Without Marcus Rashford

Rashford’s time at Old Trafford has seen many highs and lows, with the last two seasons showing this. Aside from performances, his exit would also help the club financially. As shown by the recent summer exits, Ruben Amorim’s side is clearly focusing on cutting down the wage bill. Removing a player on £325,000 per week would be a major boost to this target, especially as it would allow the Portuguese coach to focus on new arrivals.

Last season alone saw the inclusion of nine under-21 players throughout games. Selling the likes of Rashford, Antony, and Jadon Sancho would help provide these players with more minutes to progress and develop as a result. The success of Manchester City and Chelsea in selling young players for large fees highlights the need to give these players minutes.

However, Rashford’s departure would also decrease the number of options at Amorim’s disposal. Despite his struggles in a red shirt last season, the squad lacked depth and relied upon unproven players. Although it is right for Rashford to leave, no fee coming in could also be detrimental to any future business.
